Cambridge Row

RESIDENTIAL: 10 Townhomes
COMPLETION: 2014

The Cambridge Row townhome project was a collaborative public-private partnership with the Fairmount CDC, aimed at revitalizing a key section of Brewerytown. The joint venture acquired 10 blighted, vacant properties from the Philadelphia Housing Authority, transforming them into a thoughtfully designed development of nine market-rate townhomes and one “workforce housing” home, reserved for a buyer earning 80% of the Area Median Income.

Located along Cambridge Street between 27th and 30th Streets, this project played a pivotal role in Brewerytown’s evolution, addressing the last cluster of vacant homes in the area between Poplar Street and Girard Avenue. By removing this barrier, Cambridge Row facilitated further development and investment in the neighborhood.

The homes offered a range of layouts to suit diverse buyers, including two-story, 1,000-square-foot homes and larger three-story models with basements, spanning up to 2,000 square feet. Cambridge Row exemplifies the positive impact of targeted redevelopment in driving neighborhood growth and vitality.
