The Cambridge Row townhome project was a public/private joint venture with the Fairmount CDC where the JV acquired ten (10) blighted vacant properties from the Philadelphia Housing Authority and developed nine (9) market rate town homes and one (1) “workforce housing” home (buyer at 80% of the Area Median Income). Cambridge Row was an important project for the evolution of Brewerytown as these vacant properties along Cambridge Street between 27th and 30th Streets were the last vacant homes located between Poplar Street/Girard Avenue holding development from pushing north. The homes ranged in size from two story 1,000 square foot homes to 3 stories + basement 2,000 square foot homes.
